Greetings from Berlin!! July 21, 2006

Hello again,

We arrived in Berlin last night, it is hot here, but not as hot as elsewhere. Currentlý, Europe is in the middle of a heat wave, and (of course) the cities we are traveling in are experiencing record temps, needless to say IT IS HOT!!! You walk outside and u are literally immediatelý covered in sweat...ewwww!

Ok so the last email léft off the night before Disneyla´nd Paris. We had SOOOO much fun at DLP! Three guys from Europe, my friend Colin and his friend Dirk and Andrea (Dirks from Germany, Andrea Italy and Colin England) they all LOVE Disney and are crazy´. I can saý that that day was one of the most fun in mý entire life. it started with us getting special access into the park and a special lounge where we got breakfast bc they are all shareholders. after that we headed into the park and the guys showed us around. They were all so nice, considerate and always made sure we were taken care of. They bought us waters, ice cream and other stuff, it was great! Dirk kept making sure I had a fastpass for each ride for my scrapbook, it was nice. they all reallý love disney as i said, and they would all break out into song (disney of course) and dance and sing--it was SOOO hillarious!! They are some of the most funný guys I have ever met. Andrea is hillarious, he was the most extreme of the guys and brought all the entertainment. For example, our last ride of the dáy, big thunder mountain, we all sang and clapped its a small world throughout the entire ride and got the train to sing to and the people waiting in line, it sounds dumb but it was sooo hillarious and Colin bought the picture from it and gave kristina and i little ones so we have copies, it is the best disney rid e picture i have ever seen! DLP was so much fun, hopefully I can upload more pics and put théem up of DLP..

IT was a great night, but scary night! The first time we have felt legitimately unsafe. We were on the subway and waiting for our next train when a´n announcement came over the loudspeaker sáying, in french, that the subway was having problems and was closing and we would have to take a bus!! Ah!! It was 1 am!! We were dumped onto the streets on champs elysee, very nice during the day, not at all nice at night!!! The first thing we saw as we left were three guys bent over with their pants down and the police were searching them...hmm interesting. So we were in a really scary part of Paris and we didnt know where we were and NO ONE spoke english. after walking aimlessly sazing in french, does anyone speak english, while trying to avoid all the drunk guys we found someone and they said wheré we wanted to go there was no bus...great! So he hailed a cab for us and told the cabbie where to take us, sounds simple enough. So we get in the cab and we dont know where were going, hes driving all around and we are thinking he is taking us around, but we figured that would happen to run up the meter. all of a sudden he locks the doors...weird, so kristina unlocks hers, very quietly and he immediately locks it again. No we are getting a little scared so krsitina pulls out her whistle HAHA and we are hoping we arent being taken to some place to be killed haha we are just looking at eachother freaking out but finally we get near where we are gonig and just say ok stop here! he doesnt stop and we say it again, and finally stops. só he didnt kill us haha, but it was really scary.

so we get home at 2 am, very exhausted and want to sleep. the two american guys in our room, who we thought were normal, startéd fighting at around 2:30, and I mean Fighting bad. One of them kicked the bottom of the top bunk and it came off then he threw the bed across the room, hitting our bed, but it fortunately didnt hit us. They were throwing eachother around the room, along with pieces of the metal bed and they hit a table that had my stuff all over it. This went on for about an hour. We didnt want to do anything bc they were pretty much CRAZY and thought theý might do something to us. Finally they stop and put the bed back together, sleep on it, and it of course collapses with a guy under it. Needless to say, we didnt get a lot of sleep that night. That is the short version of their crazy ass fight.

We left in the morning and were off to Brussles. Brussels sucks. Badly. We were there a few hours, bought a bunch of chocólate and left for Amsterdam!!!

We got to Amsterdam around 11 pm, not a great time to arrive when u dont know where yourene going, but we found our hostel ok. We went to sleep and woke up and went to the Anne frank hóuse-that was great i have always wanted to go and then went to the Sex Museum--SOO hillarous. AFter that we went back to our hostel to rest (rest-what a concept!) and met a guy from australia who was traveling along. We all went out later to the red light district together, it was def. nice to have a male with us, would have been a lot scarier without him!! The Red light district was dissapointing, not near as crazy as i had assumed. no we didnt smoke haha, just for all u who are wondering, u have to be 21, they are strict on that, but we did go to bars which was fun, we had never done that bc of our age here! Amsterdam was cool, we wish we had more time there.

In the morning we walked around bought some more souveniers then boarded our train to Berlin. German is SOOO CONFUSING!! We both like Berlin, have not done anything here yet, we are waiting for a tour to start. I will try and get pics up, I tried here but it didnt work.

Will write soon!

Love, Kimberly and Kristina
