Hey again,
I had to use the internet today to get ahold of someone I am meeting at Disneyland tomorrow, and have 23 minutes, so I thought I would send a quick message, and it is an English keyboard!!!!!!!!!! Which means I can type fast again! The e-mails have been taking me like an hour to write what little was there!
Today was crazily hot in Paris. We went to Versailles--we did not like it as much as we thought. It could have been a combo of the heat and waiting in a 2 hour line to get in, in the beating sun, or the fact that we took the wrong freaking train for an hour beforehand!! HAHA. The inside was eh, other places we have seen have been better, but the grounds were awesome.
After Versailles (around 7 by this time, it was an all day thing) we went to the Eiffel tower. We were gonna go on it yesterday, but the line was hundreds and hundreds of people long we decided to do it today. We only went up to the second level because you get off the elevator there and there is ANOTHER line to get up to the tip top and we were running low on time. It was night/evening and when the lights go on it looks amazing!! For about 10 min it twinkles, it was awesome.
We are headed to Paris Disneyland tomorrow but have a few problems, one I can't figure out how to call my friend that we are meeting there tomorrow to show us around and we don't have an alarm clock and HAVE to get up early, so tonight we are sleeping in shifts HAHA.
Today while waiting for the train my backpack water spout broke again but this time it was like a red fountain everywhere and I tried to drink as much as possible but it just wasn't working haha and i had to just let it go until 2 L of water squirted out. So that is broken and Kristina and I are screwing the backpack idea because guys immediately see us and are like American girls!! So we bought these purse bag things to blend in more and I bought a big water bottle because my bag is now garbage ) :
Some random things I keep forgetting to tell about, the very first day we were in London I was wearing my UW sweatshirt in the London train/subway station and looking how to get out to get to our hostel and this lady frantically came running up to me and was yelling and I had no idea what was going on as I was already overwhelmed and I am just like what what?!?! and she is like ARE YOU FROM SEATTLE?!?!?! We say yes and then her husband runs up asks the same thing and apparently they are from Seattle and then she is like do you go to the UW? I say yes and she freaks out because she graduated from there. It was a funny coincidence, this place is MASSIVE and I run into not only a Seattilite, but a UW Alum, what are the odds? But the lady had a little too much energy for her own good haha, she kinda freaked us out at first haha.
I hope everyone got the e-mail from Jennifer about the pics, if not check it from her I made a mistake and she included directions on how to figure it out.
Ok, well I think that is about it for now, just was doing a quick message, hope all is well in Seattle-ish area for everyone, it is so hot here!!!!!!
Oh and haha, we have had McDonald's three times now in one week!!! What can I say, it is cheap and we know we like it! I can already hear a few of you getting mad at me....!!
Talk to you all soon, I will try to upload more pics soon, hope you are enjoying them.
Lots of love,
Kimberly
