When do we get to Italy!?!?!? July 26, 2006

Hey all,

Us again.

Arrived in Munich earlier, city isn't too hot, but it was HELL getting to our hostel. In addition to my wheel no longer spinning (which means I get to DRAG my like 50 pound suitcase around) the stupid handle no long comes up all the way. I resorted to pulling my luggage with a fabric strap I had my blanket wrapped in so I didnt have to be a hunchback through the steets of Munich. It is painful to carry it around while broken, thankfully Jennifer gets here in a week and will be brining me new luggage!!!

Jennifer is joining us in Italy if I havent mentioned that here yet. YAY! We are (Kristina and I) super excited for that.

We are going to Dachau concentration camp tomorrow, should be very shocking, sad and should make us think.

We saw the movie Over the Hedge in GERMAN today!!! HAHA we had nothing to do and pretty much got the gist.

We eat McDonalds A LOT, so our new slogan is 'Ronald McDonald is our only friend' Haha it sounds sad but it is actually quite funny to us. Girls will absolutely not talk to us. Australian and American guys like us and we have actually made friends with some of them. Females though, want nothing to do with us. There are very few Ameriacn girls here, the rest are European and pretty much hate us before even talking to us. I guess they think we must live up to those stereotypes.

My dress broke on the train todaz!! HAHA! The strap snapped for some reason and Kristina had to try and fix it with the limited supplies we had. LORD I have the worst luck!!

We take a night train tomorrow to Venice! Viva Italia!! We are SOO excited to get into Italy and have a REAL vacation. We have been to 6 countries in 9 days. Craziness. I would recommend NO ONE to do this.

I just found out I have jury duty when I get from Europe back from my Mom!! Hopefully I can get out of that though...that would suck!!

We were in Vienna, Austria yesterday. Beatiful city, but not a lot to do unless you are into opera, which we are not. (Mozart was from there). We walked around for a few hours and then went to this AMAZING ice cream shop´cafe thing and we got these enormous ice cream sundae things in awesome dishes, we took pictures and I will upload them when I get a chance. Seriously,it was like the best ice cream I have ever had. HAHA

Everyone stares at us. IT SUCKS!!! I have started staring back. HAHA. It doesnt matter who, old men, young guys, women, whomever, they all stare!! It is like, you American, I hate you!!

I had a lactose attack (as I call them) in the middle of a street in Munich today while trying to get to our hostel. for all of you who dont know, I am severely lactose intolerant and have had 2 ulcers because of it. All I have been having is dairy pretty much and havent had my pills with me, so needless to say I had a fun afternoon on the streets of Munich doubling over in pain while DRAGGING my damn suitcase. Kristina was very patient and we had to stop like every 10 or 20 feet because it was so bad (I know i Know I am hearing my parents and Jennifer saying why have I not taken my pills). Well now I will have some with me because I prob looked like a spaz and I was in a lot of pain. Havent had very good luck the last few days, just stupid stuff, mainly due to my luggage, missing home and not taking my pills, but I am ready to get the hell out of cities and into Italy where we are mixing it up with islands, beahes, resorts etc...

I miss you all more then you know!! We are craving familiar faces and people that like us. We are both homesick currently but we are getting over that hump, Jennifer coming will help me out a lot. Kristina is also excited for her to come here. Because of Jennifer, she has rearranged our hostels and are staying in hotels throughout Italy and Greece now! And thanks to Kristinas wonderfullz generous Aunts we get to stay in NICE hotels two nights because they each are giving us a night on them!! THANKS SHERI AND PATTY!!! (Sorry if I spellled your guys names wrong, Kristina is currently upstars) We really appreciate it though, more then you know!!!

Oh, and when we tried to get the hell out of Prague, we had some trouble. The rail line was broken or something, so instead of taking ONE train, we got on a train, off a train, on a bus, off a bus, on another train, on another bus and so on, all while dragging luggage around....! It was not fun, but the people on the trains and buses were mainly young Americans so we got to talk to people who liked us!!! But it was a hassle, and a little weird they didnt tell us what was going on just to get off!!! get on!!! and so on, so we got on and got off. It turned out ok, just got the scenic tour of horrid Czech Republic and Vienna, we made it one piece needless to say. Did I mention we hated Prague? Well if I didnt, you know now HAHA.

Well i think that is it for now, hope you enjoyed the random pics I put up a few days ago, will try to put some more up soon.

Miss you all, lots of love,
Kimberly
